Every few years the economy has a major effect on our lives. It teaches us to be humble and appreciate the good times. Do we learn from every economic downturn. Yes we do but still like the herd effect we all want to improve our lifestyle on this earth so believe we are untouchable.
I am always asked when will the property market bottom out. Well we are not there yet but not far away. Property generally is the first to slow down in the build up to an economic slump. Each day we hear more and more jobs lost and how the government and the financial sector have lost control.
Because we are as a nation growing older there are more people with money as every new downturn comes along. The poor and the weekly pay workers are the first to be hit and then small and medium size business really has hard times. Although the very big make very dramatic news and is good for the media there generally recover quicker. The others take years to make up the losses and some never do.
Small business is a survival time and is not for the feint hearted. Decisions have to be made and re-assement of business plans made every week.
Soon the days will bcome lighter and we all feel better with more daylight. The sun does make people feel brighter and we all then feel better about daily chores.
There is a saying' money is king ' in these difficult times and another saying is' things will get better' . well they are both relevent and should be remembered.
By the end of this year we shall all hopefully feel better in ourselves and with hard work and being positive we shall win again.
